HOW WE DO IT

A Packa-Ching recycling unit consists of a recycling collection truck and trailer that services communities at designated sites on set day/s every week. Each Packa-Ching recycling unit is managed by an enthusiastic business owner that has been tasked to scale up the recycling and
waste management operations in their areas of operation. The recyclable packaging material prices are set by the business owner of the unit and determined according to the current market value for each material type.

Community members bring their sorted recyclables, have them weighed, and in return an instant payment is made via a cashless eWallet solution to their cell phone. Once a collection is finished, the recyclable materials are loaded into the truck and trailer and removed from the
site, leaving no trace.

RECYCLING MADE EASY
THIS IS HOW THE PROCESS WILL WORK
STEP 01

Community members will collect and separate their recyclable packaging (plastic, paper, metal cans and glass).

STEP 02

On the allocated day, the Packa-Ching truck and trailer will arrive in the community at its designated collection site.

STEP 04

The money for the materials, according to the current market price for each type, is then loaded into the individual’s eWallet account to complete the transaction. The customer receives a receipt to confirm the transaction and the amount earned.

STEP 03

Individuals bring their separated materials, which are checked, weighed and loaded into bulk bags.

STEP 05

The funds are immediately available to spend at any participating merchant, which include but is not limited to, Shoprite, Checkers, uSave, Pick ‘n Pay, Clicks, Dischem stores, or to purchase airtime, withdraw cash or transfer to anyone in South Africa.
